Miami

It was a very short visit to MIA for work, but it was still fun. I paid way too much for coffee in the airport but got a great view as we flew over downtown on our departure.

Braised lamb shank

It cooked for about six hours then we reduced the sauce and served it over polenta. Unbelievably delicious.

Brewers and Braves

I got to tag along with Mary Frances, her dad, and her brother to see the Brewers play the Braves. Check it out, that's C.C. on the mound!

The boys sit down to breakfast before Bible study. Manoj made frittata and I made bread.

Ryan Horne put on a great show and just about everyone from church was there.

The Portland Timbers were in town so Magaret, Adam, Mary Frances, and I went to take in the match.

Yes, we took a detour on the way back to DC so that Mary Frances could add another state to her list.

Ocean City

Just before leaving town we went for a stroll on the Ocean City boardwalk with Aaron and Adriane. The ice cream was definitely the highlight of our short visit.

Chesapeake Bay Bridge

Mary Frances and I flew to DC and then hopped in a car for Ben's wedding. The drive from DC to Ocean City started off with the crossing of the beautiful Chesapeake Bay.

Lake Okauchee

I celebrated the Fourth of July in Wisconsin with Mary Frances, et al. Lots of sun, water, food, and great company made for a fantastic weekend.
